The Recreation Department’s co-ed soccer and softball seasons, under the direction of Dave Sniffen, came to a close on equally-perfect evenings at Heinz Field with large contingents of engaged fans lining all the fields.It would be hard to find a summer that delivered more perfect nights for outdoor sports than this summer, with few or no mosquitos bothering the large, relaxed crowds.In soccer, Seaside Market defeated CTM in overtime in the finals on penalty kicks after tying in regulation, and in softball Poor People’s Pub won in a nail-biter over Star Department Store, scores be damned. Everyone had a blast all summer long!
