A safe boating class for Block Island youths will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 21 at 8:45 a.m. upstairs at Payne’s Dock.
Cost is $10, includes lunch and hands-on instruction, and the R.I. Department of Environmental Management Safe Boating Exam.
Instruction will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m and will include rules of the road, safe boating practices, PWC Operation, knots, boat handling, navigational aids, and R.I. boating regulations.
Successful completion will provide particpants with a R.I. Boating Safety Certificate issued by R.I. Department of Environmental Management.
