Coast Guard Station getting new well

The Coast Guard Station that sits near the channel to the Great Salt Pond is getting a new well to service its water supply needs. The station had been receiving water from a well at Champlin’s Marina through an old water line that is in disrepair and no longer functional.
Facilities Manager Sam Bird told The Times during an interview at his office that the town hopes to install the new well on an easement on Nature Conservancy property in the near future at a cost of about $125,000. The project was initially budgeted
