Interstate Navigation has extended its current schedule of boat trips to and from Block Island until Sunday, May 10.
Interstate’s Director of Security Bill McCombe announced at last night’s Town Council meeting the extension of the current Block Island Ferry schedule. The boat schedule was set to expire May 3.
“Heads up on the ferry schedule. The one boat a day, with exceptions for Monday and Thursday, will be extended until May 10. During that time, we will work with the Town for a schedule for after the 10,” said McCombe.
McCombe said the schedule will be re-evaluated prior to May 10, and Interstate will make decisions regarding any new schedule after May 10 based on discussions with the town and Medical Center.
“All necessary lifeline services will continue,” said McCombe. — Rosemary Connelli
