Food truck to add flavor to 1661 Farm

Island resident and musician Kelly Walsh’s ambition of operating a food truck is coming to life.
“We spent the last six months working to bring our food business idea to one of the island’s main visitors attractions, the 1661 Farm and Garden,” said Walsh in a post on her Farmstead Refreshments blog in early spring.
Walsh’s idea of starting a food truck began last year when she met with Seth Draper, who helps his family run The 1661 Farm and Garden.
“Our conversation began last spring outside Elevation Studio, where I teach yoga classes. Danielle Duffy, Elevation’s owner and my friend, shared some of Seth’s ideas for the future of the farm and she recommended to both of us that we talk. When we first talked, Seth was bursting with ideas and I was inspired by his enthusiasm. I was ‘in between gigs’, as they say, and had been keeping an open mind about starting something new.
