Four applications for interim town manager (so far)

According to First Warden Ken Lacoste, the immediate goal for the Town Council is to hire an interim town manager “prior to Ed’s departure on the 20th of December.” That date is outgoing Town Manager Ed Roberge’s scheduled last day on the job. Lacoste made the announcement at the council’s meeting on Monday, Nov. 25.
Second Warden André Boudreau said that “four applicants will be reviewed for the upcoming position. Not one of the applicants being island residents.”
A review of the applications will occur on Monday, Dec. 2 at Town Hall during a closed session. Interviews with the applicants will commence on Wednesday, Dec. 4 and Friday, Dec. 6. “We should let the applicants know ahead of time . . . and Molly will reach out to them and inform them of our schedules,” said Councilor Sven Risom. Accordingly, Town Clerk Molly Fitzpatrick will be in communication with the potential applicants to inform them of the schedule.
Fitzpatrick said the deadline for applications was Tuesday, Dec. 10. Lacoste also recommended possibly extending the screening process.
