For the Harbors Committee meeting on Thursday, Jan. 21, the committee had slated on its agenda to receive an update on the Harbor Management Plan from Kevin Cute of the R.I. Coastal Resources Management Council. Cute did not attend the January meeting, as announced by Harbormaster Kate McConville, who has been reviewing the plan and cross referencing the plan to a checklist from CRMC.
“As far as I know, he was still going through his checklist and did not see anything that will hold it out. I’m confident it will go through – it is a working document. The [Town] council already voted and it has to go back to the CRMC,” said McConville.
Member Carl Kaufmann asked McConville if the Harbor Management Plan would be affected “by a change in the Champlin’s situation.”
“I can reach out to Kevin and see if that is an issue, but I don’t think it was,” said McConville.
