Help support the fireworks and parade

The Double Ender Celebrations Committee is doing things a little bit differently this year for the fireworks and parade, but the group still needs the community’s support!
The fireworks display will be on Friday, July 2 at dusk and the Parade will step off at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 5. This year’s theme is “Celebrating America” and the Grand Marshals will be the staff at the Block Island Post Office: Postmaster Becky Brown, and Tamzen A. Mazzur, Kim Bubko, and Kara Stinnett. The Double Ender Committee has been working closely with Chief Matt Moynihan and the New Shoreham Police Department to help ensure these are safe, family-oriented events.
Organizing the two events takes hours of volunteer time and thousands of dollars to cover the costs of the fireworks, bands, transportation and other related items, so any donation from the community will be greatly appreciated.This year the Double Ender Committee is offering two gifts for donations of more than $100: a high-quality parade baseball cap and a beautiful, hand-signed poster from artist John Gorman.Please send your donation to Double Ender Celebrations, P.O.
