Island-made arts and crafts bring holiday cheer at library

The main room of the Island Free Library was filled with color, crafts, and aromas at the second Tuesday night Holiday Stroll of the season.
Strollers made their way into the library in search of the perfect hand-made island gift for the coming holiday.
Christine Peterson, owner of Fiber Stene, sat behind her table with a beautiful display of crocheted items: Santa stocking stuffers, winter headbands, beanies, and scarves. She crocheted a new design as she sat and chatted at her table.
Close by, Erica Tonner had woolen knits on her table, with clothing designed for young children and babies. Baby alpaca, a smooth and soft material, was used for one of the baby sweaters. Tonner was winding up her ball of yarn for the next knitting project as she chatted.
Erin Hediger was displaying her green sea glass Christmas ornaments, with the glass collected here on the island. She also had wood ornaments embedded with photos of island scenes.
Pam Glen had on her table a wide variety of holiday homemade foods, including almond butter crunch, peanut brittle, fudge, and canned Pam’s bread and butter
