Josie Merck will be showing her paintings as a guest at the Spring Street Gallery between Tuesday, Aug. 14 and Monday, Aug. 20. The show, “Trees: Then and Now,” spans years of painting trees in their various settings on Block Island. Some are portraits of familiar species, some disappearing — apple, shad, and elm.
The work is in a variety of materials — watercolors, oils, and mixed media.
