McConville creates ‘Books for Boaters’

Capt. Kate McConville, the administrative assistant to the Harbormaster, was outside her office at the Block Island Boat Basin directing traffic.
Boaters were looking for moorings because the town field was full, and McConville was on the radio communicating to querulous boaters who were asking if there were any moorings available. She was telling them that the Harbors Department staff was about to go out onto the Great Salt Pond to see if there were any private moorings where they could tie up.
