New Town Councilors look forward to getting to work

The Block Island Times reached out to First Warden-elect Andre Boudreau, Second Warden-elect Sven Risom, and councilors-at-large Martha Ball, Mark Emmanuelle, and Keith Stover for their reactions to the election and what’s next for the Town Of New Shoreham.

I am heartened by the turnout, and I am deeply humbled by the support of those who have the confidence in me to lead the next Town Council. I look forward to working collaboratively with the incoming Town Council, our new Town Manager, and the entire community to affect positive change, as well as work out our issues together for the betterment of our future.
Second Warden-elect
Sven Risom
I am looking forward to the next few years and want to thank everyone who voted for me to represent them and support the island — I take the responsibility very seriously. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Ken for his years of service, hard work and leadership. I learned a lot from him and truly appreciate the accomplishments and battles he has worked through. With that said, I am really looking forward to working with André and to have Keith
