Pamela DuLong Williams will be exhibiting at the Spring Street Gallery, 105 Spring Street, from August 6 to 18.DuLong Williams has been painting, teaching and exhibiting on Block Island since 1980. In 1997 she left the island and moved to South Berwick, Maine. She has continued to paint and teach workshops on the island as well as in Maine, New Hampshire, Italy, Mexico, Cape Breton, Florida, Connecticut and privately in her Maine studio.DuLong Williams’s lifetime of work has been inspired by what she loves – capturing the soul of a model, the light on the white buildings or design patterns of a still life.Although she is best known for her portraiture, she needs the landscapes and still life subjects to explore her passion of composition and color. In addition to her primary medium of oil, this exhibit will also introduce some of her latest works in watercolor and oil pastels. There will be an opening reception on August 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. All are welcome.
