Pam Gelsomini at Spring Street Gallery

Please join us at the opening for Pam (Anderson) Gelsomini’s show “Summer Breeze” at the Spring Street Gallery on Tuesday, July 24 from 5 to 7 p.m. The show will celebrate Block Island summer scenes and landscapes via acrylic paintings on canvas and board. The show runs from Tuesday, July 24 through Monday, July 30.
Pam, an entrepreneur, artist, avid cook and foodie, grew up every summer on Block Island embracing all that our beautiful island has to offer. She graduated many moons ago from Syracuse University with a BFA in Illustration. In the early 90s, she had annual art shows showcasing her Block Island watercolors at the Ragged Sailor Gallery.  Her art led her into a career in footwear design which eventually brought her into sales.
In 1997, she founded her own company making comfort insoles, OrthoLite, for the world’s biggest footwear brands, including Nike, Adidas, and Clarks. After 20 years of nurturing and growing that business, she retired last year and is now back at her easel once again painting scenes that explore the beauty and nature of her favorite place.
Pam also just launched a cooking and lifestyle blog, dishofftheblock.com, which features her food that is inspired by Block Island flavors, and international flavors, from her travels. She will also be serving some of the tasty bites from her blog at the opening of her show, so be sure to get there early to try her award winning stuffies and other tasty treats. Come on in and feel the summer breeze through Pam’s paintings and enjoy the island flavors of her food.
