She has a BFA from the University of Massachusetts and an MA with emphasis on painting from Rhode Island College. She also completed a premed program at UMass and taught high school chemistry, biology, and art for 35 years. She has had numerous solo exhibitions and her work hangs in more than 500 homes. She has won many awards for her paintings and often takes part in group shows. Betsey is a juried member
