Seniors making strides

How do you walk three miles within a very small space? Walking class at the Community Center with the Senior Advisory Group. Like many things, it’s a resumption of a pre-Covid activity, and with the onset of cold weather and sometimes icy ground, a good way to get some exercise and have fun at the same time.You might not think you need to take a class to learn how to walk, but as SAC member Jennifer Phillips said at their meeting on Nov. 29, “It’s not just walking.”The class is led by online instructor Leslie Sansone who has videos on YouTube of walks of different durations. It’s a little bit marching in place, a little bit doing the slide, and a lot of fun for those who have experienced it.
