Islanders representing a number of constituencies have come together to organize a Walk to End Alzheimer’s, which will take place on Sunday, Sept. 22.
The Alzheimer’s Walk is the largest fundraising event to raise funds for and raise awareness about Alzheimer’s. The annual event raised over $93 million in 600 communities across the country. Rhode Island is expected to raise about $600,000 at the four 2019 Walks: in Westerly, Providence, Newport and Block Island.
