Storm heading toward the island

The following message was issued by Block Island Power Co. President Jeffery Wright:
We are in for a wild evening tonight and we expect some scattered power outages will occur. This storm is a mix of a nor’easter and a summer thunderstorm so we can expect the following…
Winds: East gusting to 60 mph through from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m., shifting S then to W and gusting to 50 mph for the remainder of the morning hours and all day tomorrow. Some are calling for tornado potential during the time period 10 PM – 3 AM.
