Block Island has a robust community of art and artists, with many of them showing and selling their works at the Farmers Market and Arts and Crafts Guild Fairs during the summer and up until Columbus Day weekend. Now, for one day during the Holiday Shopping Stroll, visitors can find many of those artists for one last day at the Winter Market at the Island Free Library.But you can also find others at the Winter Market, some for whom it is the only time during the year that they sell their wares. And anyone can do it, so you never know what you will get from year to year.The Block Island Times got a sneak preview of who will be there for the sale on Saturday, November 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. At the time there were already 16 vendors on the list.This year promises to bring a great variety. There will be photographers, painters and printmakers, including Alex Baba-Vulic, Malcolm Greenaway, Tracy Michaelson, Claire Marschak, Leslie Hartnett, and Rosemary Connelli.
