Board members of the former Block Island Wellness Coalition accepted the 2019 Ross Campbell Award from the local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. The annual award recognizes a local person or group’s contribution to promotion of mental and behavioral health was presented at NAMI-Block Island’s third annual conference on Saturday, May 18 at the Island Free Library.
The coalition, dedicated to substance abuse prevention among the Block Island’s youth, has merged into NAMI-BI since its functions were taken over by a regional coalition in 2018. In the photo, left to right
