The Paddlers for Humanity Block Island Challenge 2019 was the first crossing I did with both my sons. We paddled from Montauk into the Great Salt Pond on Saturday, Aug. 10.
My son Gavin was the youngest to do the crossing six years ago at age 14, His brother Jayden broke that record two years ago and paddled the 19 miles with me when he was 13.
