Emergency voting for Sept. 8 Primary

The following message was provided by the Town Clerk on Tuesday, Aug. Aug. 25:
Hello, Voters!  A new state law changed the process for emergency voting in the September 8 Primary.  You may vote in person at Town Hall Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  If you bring your photo ID, you may cast your ballot at Town Hall.  Without ID the process takes longer and will require a little patience and paperwork.  Either way, wear your mask.  If your emergency prevents you from coming to Town Hall, call 466-3200 and we will provide you an application that will let you designate someone to pick up your ballot and take it to you.
Voting will be at the Block Island School, Payne Road, for the September 8, 2020 Primary Election.  The polls will be open in the Gymnasium from 9:00 a.m. through 8:00 p.m.  Please use the side door by the playground.  Bring your ID, wear your mask and maintain social distancing.  Call the Town Clerk’s Office with questions: 466-3200.
