Pam (Anderson) Gelsomini’s new show of paintings, “Block Island Wanderings” will open at the Spring Street Gallery on Saturday, Aug. 29 from 5 to 7 p.m. The show will celebrate Block Island summer scenes and landscapes via acrylic paintings on paper.
Anderson is an entrepreneur, artist, avid cook and foodie, who grew up every summer of her life on Block Island. She embraced all that this beautiful little island has to offer. After a 20 year career, owning a shoe insole business, she is on to her next act and launched a food blog two years ago, www.dishofftheblock.com .
The blog has become another creative outlet for Gelsomini where she creates dishes using local Block Island fare with inspiration from her years of traveling the globe. She is also launching a spice line and publishing her first cookbook in the coming weeks.
Her paintings are inspired by Block Island memories and wandering the beaches and paths on warm summer days. Come to the show and take a walk with Pam down memory lane.
