The High School boys Varsity Basketball team continued to win with a one-sided playoff thrashing of the Rhode Island School for the Deaf, 82 – 22 in a game that showcased the young Hurricanes’ ability to run and create offense before a packed gym Monday.With only seven players and a hard-to-duplicate toughness that is the hallmark of the team, the ‘Canes have grown into a cohesive unit that simply has fun playing, and the players have come to trust each other.There are no egos, there are always lot of smiles and laughter, they simply enjoy being with each other and have fun as they have steadily improved as the year progressed.The lone senior on the team Hector Santana, had to leave the game with a head butt to the chin that caused a cut lip but returned before the end of the gameand sank the most perfect 3-point shot maybe in history. The net never moved one scintilla and the entire gym froze in silence questioning if the ball was an air ball or went in, before erupting in cheers.
Sophomore Wyatt Hall scored a personal career-high 18 points, bringing an aggressive game that just hints at his
