Ed. note: Every summer, the folks at Island Bound Bookstore ask their younger customers to review their favorite books. Here’s the summer 2020 installment.
Over the summer I read “The Prince and the Dressmaker” by Jen Wang. I recommend this book to anyone who likes dramas and anyone who has read “Stargazing,” which was written by the same author. One reason you might like this book is how much suspense there is in each page. You never know what’s going to happen next, which is partly why this book is so exciting. A second reason is that it’s a graphic novel and has really cool pictures. Finally, some parts are kind of funny, so anyone who likes dramatic, funny graphic novels I recommend “The Prince and the Dressmaker.” — Teagan Conlon, age 10
Over the summer I read “Dork Diaries: Tales From a Not So Graceful Ice Princess.” I liked this book and recommend it to girls and people who like to ice skate. The book had good detail.
