The following message was provided by the Block Island Medical Center on Sunday, Oct. 4:
The Medical Center received an initial allotment of high-dose, adult and pediatric influenza vaccine and will begin administration this week. High-risk patients will be contacted for an appointment first; clinics for the general community will be announced in a few days. In order to maintain COVID-19 safety protocols and the health of everyone, we will run the clinics a bit differently than usual. Please be patient and stay tuned for details, we will have enough vaccines for everyone!
