Nail-biter on Saturday

The referees had to step in and whistle the unruly Rocky Hill Prep fans to stay off the court and sit down, as they chanted and yelled at Hurricanes forward Justin Cullen on Saturday.Cullen, a 6’2” rangy sophomore, stepped to the foul line with but 13 seconds on the clock and drained two free throws to first tie, and then put the ‘Canes in the lead by one, 54-53.Rocky Hill took a timeout to set up a play and had a chance to win the game but was thwarted by great defense that first deflected a pass and then tied up the ball. They never got a shot off.The boys were led by Carter Brown who led all scorers with 17 points while also distributing the ball evenly to his teammates, all of whom scored.
