It was foggy, it was clear, it was hot, it was cold, but the Shad Bloom 10K Run on Saturday May 14 was glorious. There were 179 participants and 140 finishers for what Recreation Director Dave Sniffen called the prettiest race course in the east. So, he told them, don’t just look down while you’re running, but lift your head and take in the island, and enjoy. The full results can be found at www.timingplusne.com. The Shad Bloom was the first of several races – and a triathlon – on Block Island scheduled for this year.
