Trimm’s Pond and Harbor Pond have been closed by the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management due to an expected increase in boating traffic and attendant pollution issues. They were closed at sunset on May 22.
According to Harbormaster Kate McConville, shellfishing is still allowed at Andy’s Way and Cormorant Cove.
Both of those areas have been reseeded, according to McConville.
