Block Island community members organized and participated in a Walk for Justice, a silent march on Thursday, June 4. The gathering began at 5:45 p.m., and ended at 6:20 p.m. Protestors were instructed to meet by the Block Island Historical Society, and directed to walk towards the Statue of Rebecca and then back towards the Historical Society. Many participants held signs aloft saying Black Lives Matter. The walk started peaceful, and ended without incident.
