Ted Merritt at Spring Street

With a focus on Block Island’s ocean, boats, and maritime heritage, Ted Merritt’s paintings will be shown at the Spring Street Art Gallery from Saturday, July 28 through Friday, Aug 3.
Ted invites you to join him at an opening party from 5 to 7 p.m. at the gallery on Saturday, July 28. The party will feature gallery art, wine, music by Cameron Greenlee and finger food by Linda Spack.
Ted offers work done in acrylic and oil. Matted prints and cards will round out the presentation. As he did last year, a number of selected painted pet rocks will be looking for new homes. If it is clear that the new pet is comfortable with the new owner, transfer of ownership will be free. No paper work will be required. Ted likes to support island non-profits with special emphasis on The Block Island Club. The Block Island Community Sailing Center, The Block Island Yacht Club and the Block Island Maritime Institute.
If the purchaser wishes, sale profit can be donated to any Island non profit. Merritt’s show will include several race week abstracts and numerous realistic paintings of boats, beaches, new harbor and historic maritime scenes. In addition 11×14 mated originals, and copies as well as note cards will be available. Several small pieces of pottery also done by Ted will be given by lottery as door prizes.
